Another schoolyear has started last June 2025!

We are continuing the educational support of four learners who are either former Hansen's patients or dependents of Hansen's patients.

The daughter of MB, an amputee and single mother, is now Grade 6. We have been sending monthly stipends to support her snacks and also provided funds for her school uniform, school bag, and supplies. MB is still recovering from her wounds on her numb foot at a Hansen's ward in Metro Manila and receiving physical therapy for her new leg prosthesis and ankle valve orthosis for her remaining foot. Since MB lives away from her daughter and can not earn income, she feels relieved that the educational assistance is continuing.

The daughter of JQ, a former Hansen's patient, is now a 4th year medical student! PLM was able to send funds for her daily transportation expenses and snacks. We will have a future physician whose heart is close to persons affected by leprosy.

AC is our Hansen's Club officer who is now enrolled in the second level of training, for an Associate in Biblical Studies. The monthly educational assistance covers transportation, snacks, printing expenses, and school fees.

For our fourth learner, she is the daughter of GC, one of our Hansen's Club members too. Her college schoolyear starts this August. She will continue her college course with the help of the monthly stipend being sent by Philippine Leprosy Mission --for transportation and snacks.

We hope you will also continue regular contributions to the educational assistance program of the Philippine Leprosy Mission so we can reach more Persons Affected by Leprosy!
