One of our active Hansen's Club officers and. Community yourh leader is our latest recipienr of educational assistance. She is AC, a 40 year old lady who aquired Hansen's Disease during childhood, underwent treatment, only to suffer a recurrence of the disease as a teen-ager. Despite these challenging circumstances, she overcame the physical and psychosocial problems due to leprosy and emerged as a confident young woman, a natural leader among her peers in the Hansen's Club.
A.C. requested educational assistance from Philippine Leprosy Mission because her small business suffered losses when she fell sick and another family member also needed medical support. She has been enrolled in a Practical Ministry course and will be graduating in May. With PLM's timely assistance, AC can pay her monthly tuition and rent a toga for the moving up ceremony:) PLM will continue to support her next course in Biblical studies should she wish to proceed with this in the coming schoolyear.
