Empowering Girls, Creating Brighter Futures!

By Project G | Team

Over the past three months, our Project G – Empowering Girls team has continued working to break down barriers to education and empower young people across Cambodia through menstrual health education, access to reusable menstrual hygiene Kits and community awareness.

Our dedicated student educators have been busy delivering educational sessions, supporting young girls and boys to better understand menstrual health, and helping to challenge the stigma and misconceptions surrounding menstruation.

Celebrating 8 Years of Empowering Girls!

This quarter, we proudly celebrated the 8th anniversary of Project G – Empowering Girls!

Since launching in 2018, our project has reached more than 36,000 students, including over 10,000 boys, and distributed more than 30,000 reusable menstrual hygiene Kits.

What began as an initiative to help girls manage their periods with dignity has grown into a program that promotes confidence, gender equality and access to education.

Education That Makes a Difference

Our student-led education team continues to deliver menstrual health workshops in schools and communities, creating safe and supportive environments where students can ask questions, learn and develop a better understanding of their bodies.

Importantly, we continue to include boys in our educational sessions. By involving everyone in the conversation, we are helping to reduce stigma, encourage understanding and build more supportive communities.

Sustainable Solutions, Lasting Impact

Behind every reusable menstrual hygiene Kit is our dedicated team of five local seamstresses, who continue producing approximately 500–600 Kits each month.

These Kits provide girls with a practical, reusable and sustainable solution to managing their periods, reducing the financial burden on families while helping girls attend school with greater confidence.

Looking Ahead

As we enter the final months of 2026, our team remains committed to reaching more students, expanding menstrual health awareness and ensuring that no girl misses out on her education simply because she has her period.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our GlobalGiving donors and supporters.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us create a future where every girl has the knowledge, confidence and resources to reach her full potential.

Together, we're not just providing menstrual hygiene Kits. We're empowering girls, breaking down barriers and creating brighter futures!
