Everyone was full of energy on Sunday, July14, 2024, so we got up early at 4:00AM to cook breakfast. To make sure everything was there, a few team members took the materials from our warehouse and checked them. Since the majority of our students ask for nutritious meals, we prepare some veggies and fried pork for breakfast. We loaded up the bus with the materials and headed to the school for our mission once we finished cooking. At seven in the morning, we arrived at the school, followed by the REACH teams. After that, we had breakfast for 30 minutes. Our mission began with a brief introduction and we share more about teamwork in further detail and shared information about the students and school.
Around 8:00 am, we started to work together by following our process. Everyone looks very active and enjoyable in fixing the bikes and they had a lot of conversation with the students as well as among their teams. Then, after our students and guests worked hard for a few hours, we had a break for lunch at 12:00PM for lunch, we had late lunch because everyone really enjoy working under the littles rain and don’t really want to had breaks. we had chickens, pork soup, and dessert for lunch. All of these foods are healthy foods that provide more energy. By the way, we started our mission again at 2:00 pm. everyone worked so hard to fix the bikes for the students and villagers. We really proud and appreciate our students and volunteers for putting much effort in helping us to make our mission gone well even the rain comes they still continue their works with their warm smiles.
We were really surprised that we Totally fixed 170 bicycles in one day at Chan Sor Primary and Secondary school. It’s unbelievable. That was the result of the work that we had done with the team, our students, and volunteers.
Finally, we finished the mission at about 6:00PM, and then we had a reflection together. Our team said, "Thank you so much to the school directors" who allowed us to us MBM in the at village, especially since he allowed us to make the activities happen in the school and also had good cooperation and involvement with us. We also thanked our students, volunteers, REACH teams, and PP students who worked hard in each role in our activity. One more thing, one of the students expressed their feelings that they were very excited that they were able to get their bike fixed and that it worked, yet allow them to get to school more easily. Yet the school did provide us the appreciation latter for working very hard to contribute to the community and empower students as well as fixed the bikes for the students. Furthermore, the PB team encouraged all the students to go to school regularly. We had group photos together before we finished our activity. Please have a look at some photos and the attendance list below.
