Anchor Group

We continue to run our open group. The summer group dynamic was more relaxed and comfortable for our participants. I think they appreciated this type of environment (especially considering they were on summer break from school).

We began implementing a new curriculum in the fall. We are hopeful that the suggested group format and included activities, will provide more stability for the group as a whole.  Although, we are leery about assigning the participants “homework assignments”, we understand that it is advantageous for group members to have an opportunity to practice skills outside of group as well.

Individual Sessions

We continue to receive referrals for individual services. We offer the Anchor group to this population as well. However, we recognize that there are just some clients who need time to process alone, before they feel ready to open up in a group setting. We are grateful to be the ones to help them as they work through this challenging time in their lives.

Navigate Presentations

School is back in session, which means that our Navigate presentations will begin again soon.

Needs

Fair Haven would still benefit from more funding to be able to purchase additional space to be able to run our programs and groups more effectively.

We are interested in purchasing more curriculum, games, and activities.

We are in need of another advocate to assist with group facilitation and individual advocacy.

A lack of transportation also continues to be a hindrance to program enrollment and participation.
