We completed our 2014-2015 cohort of our Project Anchor program at the beginning of March. We had a wonderful time at our special celebration ceremony dinner with the ladies. We even had a few of our group participants courageously share (in a room filled with their loved ones) about their feelings and experience in the program. We are so proud of all of these young ladies and we enjoyed working with each and every one of them. We offered the opportunity to all of the young ladies to return for additional support at any time. While, some of them have moved on, others have accepted our offer and have continued receiving individual services.
We are now gearing up to begin our 2015-2016 cohort of our Project Anchor program. We are hoping to begin this session in the next month. We have already received client referrals for this program and are just working on enrolling enough participants to meet group capacity requirements. We are looking forward to meeting our newest group of participants really soon. We are also excited to announce that we have another new staff member who has joined Team Anchor who will be co-facilitating throughout this cohort.
Since our last report, we were blessed to receive some of the items from our wish list. One of the biggest surprises we received was an anonymous donation to be able to purchase the additional space we needed! This new space has provided many opportunities to be able to work with our clients more effectively. Additionally, we were also gifted a large sand box and more sand toys for our Anchor clients to utilize in their individual sessions.
There are a few items on our wish list that we are still in need of and a few more :
On behalf of the staff and participants of the program, we thank you for your continued support of Project Anchor.
