It has been a great few month at Fair Haven. We finished our last cohort right before the holidays. We were able to bring our numbers up by a few new clients and were able to provide each participant in our group with a super comfy Christmas present-- a weighted blanket & sleep mask!
We are a month into the new cohort. The participants are doing such an amazing job-- they have actively participated in every activity & are really taking the reins of their recovery. As of now, we are working on helping build the participants confidence. We just did the best activity. We had each participant choose affirmations for their lives. After they each chose their own affirmations, the participants then chose 5 for the group. This exercise was very powerful. At the end of this group, everyone read the affirmations they chose out loud.
Our needs include updated and increased amount of art supplies and small incentives to gift our pariticpants every session. We are still struggling with transportation, and we are looking to add additonal clients as they come in to grow our numbers.
