Updates
Group
We still have an ongoing open support group running. We have added a few new members and are hopeful to continue to have more young people join us in the new year, after the holiday break.
School Presentations
Since the school start, Fair Haven has presented the Think First Stay Safe: Teen Lures education and prevention program in 12 middle/high schools. Our team is wrapping up for the year and already have several more school districts scheduled for 2019.
Success
We have hired a total of three new staff members to assist us with program facilitation. Our new program facilitators have a lot of fresh ideas for program implementation and we are excited to see them come to fruition. Our staff member Natalie (pic below) has been a wonderful addition to our team. We appreciate her.
Needs
Fair Haven would greatly benefit from receiving more funding to be able to purchase additional working space to effectively run our programs.
We are interested in purchasing more curriculum, games, and activities, and SNACKS. Teenagers have a healthy appetite!
A lack of transportation also continues to be a hindrance to program enrollment and participation.
As always, we want to thank you, on behalf of the staff and participants of Project Anchor, for your generous support of our program and our mission to help the hurting youth in our community throughout the year.
