Updates
Group
We began our new group in the middle of August. We have had consistent attendance and hoping that more referrals will be interested in joining now that the new school year has begun. We will continue to offer the group to anyone who is need of our services.
School Presentations
Now that the 2018-2019 school year is in session, our staff members have been in the schools almost as much as the teachers! We are grateful for the acceptance we have received by the community and the school districts that we have welcomed us. Since August, Fair Haven has presented the Teen Lures: Think First & Stay Safe prevention program to five schools, in 3 school districts, and have already secured dates to present for the remainder of the school year.
Success
We have hired two new staff members to assist us with program facilitation.
Needs
Fair Haven would greatly benefit from receiving more funding to be able to purchase additional working space to effectively run our programs.
We are interested in purchasing more curriculum, games, and activities.
A lack of transportation also continues to be a hindrance to program enrollment and participation.
As always, we want to thank you, on behalf of the staff and participants of Project Anchor, for your generous support of our program and our mission to help the hurting youth in our community throughout the year.
