Individual Sessions
We have decided to transition our direct services into a more group-centered recovery program. This will afford the opportunity to offer services to more clients with a limited number of staff to facilitate the program. We intend to implement this new structured format in the fall.
Anchor Group
Overall, we have had consistent attendance in our group since it first began in February. The girls bonded quickly and have formed supportive relationships with each other outside of group as well. This cohort will be ending in the beginning of August and we aspire to begin our next cohort a few weeks later.
School Presentations
Our staff members presented the Teen Lures: Think First & Stay Safe program to eight schools in five school districts, and have already secured dates to present for the 2018-2019 school year. We are grateful for the chance to be able to educate adolescents about this important topic.
Needs
Fair Haven would greatly benefit from receiving funding to be able to purchase additional working space, program supplies, and staff to effectively run our programs.
As always, we want to thank you, on behalf of the staff and participants of Project Anchor, for your generous support of our program and our mission to help the hurting youth in our community.
