Updates
Anchor Group
We finished our last cohort of the Anchor group program before the holidays. We have begun enrolling for our next cohort. We are hoping to begin the next group sometime in January/February 2018.
Individual Sessions
We continue to receive referrals for individual services. In addition, we are now starting to work with adolescent males as well. We are so grateful to be able to offer assistance to all individuals who need support.
School Presentations
Our staff members have had the opportunity to go into a school and present the Teen Lures:Think First & Stay Safe prevention program to 800 students. We are excited about this new curriculum and are hopeful that soon all of the schools will be requesting these presentations.
Successes
Some of our clients were able to attend and have fun at our Fairy Tale Ball in November. It was nice to see them having a good time and enjoying themselves. We could tell they felt like "royalty" that day.
We were blessed to have one of our local churches adopt our families and purchase Christmas presents for our young clients and their siblings. The familes were over joyed when they came to pick up their gifts. We are thankful to all our community supporters and for all of the generous donations from people like YOU! It truly has made an impact in the lives of many people.
Needs
Fair Haven would still greatly benefit from receiving more funding to purchase additional working space in order to run our programs more effectively.
We are interested in purchasing more curriculum, games, activities, and project materials.
We are still in need of another advocate to assist with group facilitation and individual advocacy.
A lack of transportation continues to be a hindrance to program enrollment and participation.
As always, we want to thank you, on behalf of the staff and participants of Project Anchor, for your generous support of our program and our mission to help the hurting youth in our community throughout the year.
We wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season!
