2010 Year End Report

Fall Dance at Happy Trails
Fall Dance at Happy Trails

Thank you so very much to those of you who have donated to Happy Trails Riding Center this year through Globalgiving. As we end 2010 we'd like to share what Happy Trails Riding Center has been up to this year.

In 2010 we provided 341 riding experiences (lessons and camps), several free social opportunities including our annual movie night and holiday party. This year  we added a few new opportunities,  we hosted a fall barn dance through the City of West Linn Parks Department which had the highest attendance ever for one of their quarterly dances (specifically for young adults and adults with disabilities and special needs).  Approximately 65 people attended. We had 4 internships and have a volunteer crew of people with disabilities and special needs working weekly in our barn.

We'd like to share a few of the comments we've received this year from clients, volunteers and people involved in Happy Trails…

Thanks so much for your kindness and loving guidance with Chloe and Ciarra. They both improved so much since the last ride, and I am certain will continue show growth and enjoyment from the opportunity to ride your horses.
We are all looking forward to the next ride....Smith Family

Emmy had such a great time learning how to jump with Hillary on Wednesday evening. It makes me happy to see Emmy soooo happy doing what she has been dreaming of, riding and jumping. We are grateful to have found you and we appreciate you being so kind and understanding of Emmy. You know it is hard to find people like you in this world who accommodate children like ours. Thank you for what you do. - Linda Harrop (Parent of Rider)

We want to thank you for being there for this population and investing in their future. I have really enjoyed talking with (you) and look forward to future prospects of collaboration to raise funds. We wish you much success. Sheri Anglam (West Linn High School)

We have learned so much in less than five years and have proven to be able to grow in the hardest financial times our country has seen in decades. With your support, we can do even more! We are so very thankful! Happy holidays to you and yours!
