Now more than ever... LGBT students need You

In August 2016 Todo Mejora leaded and coordinated the first National School Climate Survey in Argentina, Colombia, Brasil, Uruguay, México, Perú and Chile, answered by students from 13 to 21 years of age.

The results of Chile are shocking:

7 out of 10 students report feeling insecure their schools
Nearly 100% of them hear LGBTI-phobic comments
60% of those comments come from teachers and school personnel
2 out of 3 students do not know if there is a protocol to report violence due to sexual orientation and gender identity

Now, more than ever, we HAVE to keep working hard in order to protect our LGBT youth.

With these results, and in only a few weeks, we were able to:

Actively influence the National Law to Protect Children´s Rights, incorporating the concept of Gender Identity.
Worked as the technical organization with the Ministry of Education to launch a specific law which protects trans students in the school setting.
Partnered with the Ministry of Education to keep on advocating for LGBT student´s rights.

We now KNOW how students feel and what their experiences are, we just need to keep on WORKING.
