Our last report comprised the results of 21st November 2018. We had completed the screening process for 11 different schools in 15 working days. This report brings you the rest of the children screened from the 21st of November to the 5th of December. We were able to complete 6 more schools and screened 1300+ children in that span.
Following are the results of the 17 schools
Total number of children screened- 2938, in that
9% were under nourished
6.85% were overweight

18.4% had visual difficulties
75% were have dental abnormalities
2.96 % had hearing difficulties
8.2% are anemic
2% had Vitamin deficiencies
7% were diagnosed with psychological conditions
We were able to provide these results to the government officials who are taking action to correct these difficulties in these children. We were able to able to achieve what we had hoped to achieve. To accurately diagnose conditions early and to provide an early intervention advisory, which when followed will lead to healthier future generation and reduce the impact the diseases and disorders will have on the quality of life of the children, family and the community on the whole.
After the talk with the District Collector, Choice Foundation decided to team with the government officials. The Foundation agreed to travel with RBSK teams aiding them in screening children (Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram- https://rbsk.gov.in/RBSKLive/). We provided extra man power, equipment and digital support as a way of showing that using technology to save time and screen more children in the given time.
Our teams joined the existing 12 RBSK and toured with them for a week and were able to screen 1771
The results of that effort is as follows:
Stunting (Height as a parameter)- 30%
Undernourished (Weight as a parameter)- 19.6%
