Prevention of domestic violence in Mexican homes

Thanks to your generosity, Fundación Proyecto DEI continues helping families build safer, more nurturing homes where children can grow free from violence.

During the past months, we have continued supporting parents and caregivers through practical workshops and guidance focused on emotional well-being, positive parenting, and healthy child development. Families are learning how to recognize stress, regulate their emotions, and replace punitive responses with respectful and nurturing caregiving practices.

One of the most valuable outcomes has been the strengthening of community support. Caregivers consistently tell us that having a safe space to share experiences, ask questions, and receive professional guidance helps them feel more confident and less alone in the challenges of raising young children.

As parents strengthen their own emotional regulation, children benefit from more responsive relationships that foster security, empathy, and healthy emotional development. These everyday interactions are powerful protective factors that reduce the risk of violence and help break intergenerational cycles of abuse.
