Today, I want to share with you the story of one of Fundación Proyecto DEI’s vital initiatives: the "Well-being during Pregnancy" program. Imagine a new mother, filled with hopes and dreams for her child, yet facing the silent stress and anxiety that can often accompany pregnancy. Without support, this overwhelming stress can have lasting effects—not only on her health but on the entire family environment.
This program recognizes that a healthy, nurturing home begins long before the baby is born. By supporting expectant mothers during this critical time, we help foster a strong maternal-infant bond from the very start. This bond is the foundation for a positive, supportive household, one where children can thrive and where the cycle of violence and mistreatment can be broken.
Our main goal is to diminish the harmful effects of toxic stress and high anxiety levels during pregnancy. We do this by empowering women and their families to build emotional resilience, practice self-regulation, and develop awareness of their pregnancy journey. These early interventions are crucial for safeguarding maternal health and ensuring that every child has the best possible start in life.
Through your support, we are not only nurturing healthier pregnancies but also laying the groundwork for safer, more loving homes, breaking the cycle of violence and fostering a future where every child can realize their full potential.
¡Thank you!
