Officially kicking off the project "Scarlet Sails" Phase 2 in An Lao district, Hai Phong

On November 15th, Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) and the Women Union of Hai Phong held The Kick-off ceremony of the "Scarlet Sails" Phase 2 project in An Tien commune, An Lao district, Hai Phong.

In phase 2, the project will strengthen the capacity to prevent children sexual abuse; building children-protective environment through promoting the roles of schools, teachers and parents, union officials and local authorities.

“I believe that Scarlet Sails - Phase 2 will continue to promote meaningful and human values, help children and caregivers enhance children sexual abuse prevention abilities, provide a safer environment for children." Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Hai - Vice President of the Women Union of Hai Phong shared.

Immediately following the launching ceremony, VSF organized a training session on children sexual abuse prevention for 30 members of Women's Union of Hai Phong in An Lao district. The training session covered the fundamentals of children sexual abuse prevention, such as the concept and classification of children sexual abuse acts, identifying perpetrators and survivors of sexual abuse on children, related policies and laws, the causes and consequences, the importance of children sexual abuse prevention. Furthermore, the staff of the Union has implemented a variety of required steps to prevent and protect children from sexual abuse, emphasizing the coordination mechanism between the Women's Union and related parties.

The budget for the implementation of the project “Scarlet Sails’’ was extracted from the profits of the moon cake sale program to raise funds "Vi Trang" this year.
