Thank you letter from sponsored child

By Dang Thi Phuong Loan | Project Contributor

"Hai Phong city, January 13, 2022

My name is V.T.T.

I am staying with my grandparents and younger brother in Hai Phong city, Vietnam. I am writing this letter to send my most sincere thanks to the sponsors and For Vietnamese Stature Foundation. Because of the difficult situation of my family, thanks to the help and support of monthly living expenses from sponsers, I have been able to go to school with my friends. This support has helped my grandmother to ease the financial burden. My family and I don't know what to say other than deepest thanks to everyone. The attention and support from everyone is a great source of encouragement to my family. I promise to always try my best to study and obediently obey your grandparents so as not to offend your grandparents and sponsers. I wish you and your family the best of health and peace. I hope that children with difficult circumstances like me will be helped to continue to go to school and nurture their dreams like me. Once again, I wish you good health and send you my deepest gratitude.

I would like to stop writing here."

That is the letter that V.T.T., the boy who is one of 3 children sponsored by the Scarlet Sail project from September 2021, sent to the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation. The boy expressed his happiness and gratitude to the sponsors who helped him to have a positive change in his current life.
Not only that, from January 2022, the project has also continued to sponsor 3 more children with extremely difficult circumstances in Kenh Duong ward, Hai Phong city:

  • B.V.N. (10 years old): His parents are divorced, his grandmother died and because of the accident, his grandfather lost the ability to walk. His mother has a new family and now he live with his father. His father works as a freelancer and the job is not stable. The COVID-19 epidemic made his family's situation more difficult, his father often drank and sometimes N. also suffered from his father's beatings. he is not taken care of his health and studies.
  • L.T.D. (14 years old): His mother died of breast cancer 2 years ago. His father has a history of epilepsy, weak health, he lost his ability to work because of the accident. After his mother's death, his sister, who finished 12th grade, had to drop out of school to work as a hired hand to support the family.
  • V.T.C.P. (11 years old): His father had a brain tumor. Althought his father had surgery, he couldn't recover, his nerves were not normal, he just stayed at home and couldn't work. His mother has heart disease and she is often sick, but she still has to work hard to earn money to support her husband and two young children. Previously, his mother was a garment worker in a factory, but because of the epidemic, she had to stay home for a few months, selling vegetables to pay for living expenses for the whole family. Although his family situation is difficult, P. is very obedient and studies hard.

They will be sponsored for 3 years with a total value of VND 108,000,000 (support budget is VND 1,000,000/child/month).
