WJI is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a grant from Together Women Rise in support of expanding our Adolescent Girls Program!
Earlier this year, the program launched programming in six communities across San Martín Jilotepeque and Tecpán, reaching 237 girls and we are just getting started.
With this new partnership, WJI will bring our Girls Empowerment, Rights and Leadership course to more than 450 adolescent girls across 12 rural communities over the next two years. Through this six-month program, girls build the skills to assert their rights, delay early marriage, and pursue their personal goals, supported by a team that works directly with parents and community leaders to create lasting change.
We are deeply grateful for this investment in adolescent girls and the communities they will go on to lead. With this support, we will help girls delay early marriage, ensuring they have the skills to prioritize their education and pursue personal goals while recognizing their value and self-worth.
