Curacao's stray dogs suffer daily from hunger, injuries, disease, heat, and neglect. Puppies are born on the streets with little chance of surviving, and the stray population keeps growing. Rescue Paws Curacao fights this at the root through sterilization and education, while rescuing dogs in urgent need, providing medical care and rehabilitation, and finding safe homes through adoption. Since 2014 we have sterilized 4,500+ dogs and rehomed 2,500+.
On Curacao, thousands of dogs are born into neglect. Abandonment and mistreatment leave many without safe shelter, enough food, or basic medical care. Unplanned litters keep the stray population growing, while awareness of responsible ownership, sterilization, and parasite control remains insufficient.
We stop suffering now and prevent it tomorrow. Rescue Paws Curacao rescues stray dogs, provides vet treatment, vaccines, and recovery care, and rehomes them through adoption. In parallel, we run large scale sterilization and educate the community on responsible ownership, parasite control, and prevention. Your donation directly funds spay and neuter, medical care, shelter supplies, and outreach.
The aim is a future where Curacao no longer has a growing stray dog population. With sustained spay and neuter, education, and adoption support, fewer puppies are born on the streets, fewer dogs suffer from hunger and untreated illness, and more dogs find stable, loving homes. The impact compounds year after year as prevention replaces crisis response.
