It has been three weeks since we launched the “Send Child Brides to School” campaign and it is time to release our next poster.
The “H for Husband” poster is our attempt to make people aware about the extent of domestic violence faced by child brides. Studies have proved that, child marriage limits young girls’ skills, resources, knowledge, social support, mobility and autonomy. Young married girls have little power in relation to their husbands and in-laws.
Please share the “H for Husband” poster with your family and friends and create awareness about this issue.
The Girl Effect GlobalGiving Challenge is an excellent opportunity for us to increase visibility and financial support for our “Send Child Brides to School” campaign.
Vote with your dollars for Educate Girls’ project “Child Brides: Send them to School Instead” and help us win the challenge. All we need from you is a minimum contribution of 10 USD.
The challenge runs from November 1, 2012 through November 30, 2012 and the project with the highest number of donors will win the challenge.
