As of November 2024, our team is working dilligently to raise funds to complete all outlined steps.
Currently we are mapping the fencing needed to restore the wetlands. The actual placement of the fence will take place during January - March 2025.
Additionally, we are getting ready to plant more seeds to recuperate the bofedales. This will take place during December 2024 and January 2025. This timing contemplates the start of the rainy season as a tool to help the seeds grow.
Results will be measured in August 2025, which is the middle of the upcoming dry season, to evaluate the effectiveness of these actions.
We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to support the alpaca hearding communities.
