Give pregnant goat to widow or orphan in Uganda

Goats are changing lives in Uganda

By Michael Hildenbrand | Project Leader

When we give a pregnant goat to a widow or orphan in NE Uganda we are giving the hope for their future.  These goats can change their lives.  They are not allowed to eat the goats, they can only sell them or trade them. If managed well (which we train them to do) in two or three years they can have a small herd.  Many children have been able to go to school by selling their goats.  Widows have used funds from a sale to start a business or build a house.  A simple gift of $50 buys a goat.  This is one of the most impactful projects we have.

Thank you for your help, it does make a difference!
