Dear Donors & Partners:
Thank you for your continued support. As you may remember, SEGUE had initiated a return to operations in Liberia, as of last quarter. We are currently finalizing that return and are securing larger administrative funding via partnerships with other NGO’s in the country. Life in Liberia is slowly returning to normal and the access to energy remains a challenge. Travel throughout the rural areas has resumed and our staff is currently waiting on some smaller grant funding targeting an October 31st launch date.
We continue to appreciate your support and sponsorship. “Powering Homes and Empowering 100 Women in Liberia” remains a program of focus for SEGUE. Additionally, SEGUE is moving forward with plans to present the concept to USAID and other international development partners under the “Power Africa” initiative. SEGUE remains convicted to the idea that providing access to sustainable lighting and power will be a critical element to social and economic recovery within the country.
Sincerely,
Francis Cooper
Executive Director
