Poverty reduction for 150 Ugandan families

Thank you for supporting Nurture Africa's quest to reduce the incidence of poverty within 150 Ugandan households over the past eight months. We recieved somw addition funding which enabled Nurture Africa to support two additional families. Below you will see the project targets and achievements. The project has received 63% of it's overall target funding.

Target:     

• Provide 50 families with a treated mosquito nets
• Provide 25 children access to Primary Healthcare
• Provide 25 families with nutritional support
• Provide 25 people with access to HIV care & treatment
• Provide 30 most at risk mothers with Maternity care
• Provide 10 families with income generation support

Achieved: 

• Provided 24 families with a treated mosquito nets
• Provided 21 children access to Primary Healthcare
• Provided 14 families with nutritional support
• Provided 8 people with access to HIV care & treatment
• Provided 26 most at risk mothers with Maternity care
• Provided 4 families with income generation support

On behalf of Nurture Africa staff in Ireland and Uganda but most importantly, the 95 families/individuals who have received care, treatment and support as a result of your incredible generosity, I wish to thank you sincerely. The past 19 months have been hugely challenging for Nurture Africa. We continue to adapt to the ever changing situation this year as Uganda exits lockdown. While essential from a public health perspective, many families supported by Nurture Africa have been severely impacted by restrictions. Your contribution, has enabled us to maintain vital and life-saving treatment, care and services for the people we exist to serve.
