This is to once again thank GlobalGiving and its donores globally who made this project possible about 10 years ago/
The index community is ever grateful to you, Dako Foundatioun and other donors whose contributions made it possible and sustained to date.
However, the challemges of maintenance and the epiletic power supply remain serious issues of concern.
Wear and tear and water pipes exposure due to erosion in the community require regular attention. There is also the issue of high energy cost as the energy supply for a few hours from the national grid comes at a high tariff.
With the abundance of sunlight in this community, a hybrid of solar energy and electricity powered water pumps will be a more cost-effective way of supplying regular and sustained water to this communmity.
Installation of a 30KVA solar power system and a hybrid water pumps remain the ultimate solution to improved water supply to our index community.using our facility.
The estimated cost of this additional facilty is {$25,000.00} twenty five thousands dollars'
We look forward to the generous donors from GlobalGiving to make this dream come true.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Dako Mamudu.
