During this reporting period, Fundación CIMA continued strengthening the planning and coordination phase of the Post-Op Dignity Kits for Breast Cancer Survivors project. While the funds raised through this project so far have been limited, this initiative remains a key part of our long-term commitment to improving post-surgical support for women undergoing breast cancer treatment in Mexico’s public health system.
At this stage, our team has focused on, once sufficient resources are available, kits can be delivered to the patients. These dignity kits are designed to address gaps that many patients face after surgery, when access to basic post-operative supplies is often restricted due to financial and systemic limitations.
This project builds on Fundación CIMA’s broader experience supporting breast cancer patients through programs focused on access, education, and emotional support. The learnings from this phase are essential to ensure that future distributions are efficient, impactful, and truly responsive to patients’ needs.
We are grateful to everyone who has supported this project so far and helped keep it visible. Each contribution, no matter the size, helps us move closer to making post-operative dignity kits a reality for women who need them most.
