HIV social justice leadership with a vision
![Black, Queer, and HIV-Positive]()
Black, Queer, and HIV-Positive
Greetings,
We Positively Positive Education Productions appreciate your support to amply the voices of bipoc, lgbtq, disabled, asexual, aromantic and HIV-positive voices. Asexuals do not experience sexual attraction and aromantics do not experience romantic attraction. Asexuals and aromantics are members of the LGBTQ community. We advocate for asexuals and aromantics because they are just as marginalized and vulnerable to violence.
Our major developments:
- Awarded a fellowship with the Arts and Culture at King Street Station to develop a photography exhibit.
- Participated in a photography project with the Through Positive Eyes to amplify HIV-positive voices.
- Hosted over 500 public and online performances and workshops on social justice issues to services providers, schools, and cities.
- Updated our website at PositivelyPositiveEducationProductions.Net to build an email listserve to update the public about our social justice workshop programming and spoken word poetry services.
Accomplishments:
- Graduated from an audio engineering program to record music at a recording studio so we can produce and record our music and record an album.
- Drafted, designed, and implemented our calandly.com/positivelypositiveeducationproductions and recorded a video that documents our professional services; such as, social justice workshops, spoken word poetry, HIV stigma 101, disability justice, and being accountable to ending sexual violence. Our other accomplishments are building our CRM database to improve relationships with organizations, customers, and community members.
We at Positively Positive Education Productions, LLC are responsible for these accomplishments.
Critical issues; we need help:
- We need media outreach, resources, and funding to provide representation for marginalized communities so we can publish three (3) books: a spoken word poetry chapbook, undergraduate research on HIV stigma while living Ghana during a study abroad, and a survival guide for LGBTQ+ asexual and aromantic teens and youth who are HIV-Positive since birth or living with an STI or newly infected. We are recording a musical album that features spoken word poetry and hip-hop music about the struggle of a black, queer, trans, non-binary person living with HIV since birth.
- In order to create these books and record this album we need funding for the living expenses for the artist, secure a certified book coach for ghostwriting, copyedits, idea creation, hire an illustrator to design the cover of the books, purchase copyright and ISBN numbers, website hosting and p.o. box, recording time at the studio, mixing and mastering our music, attend classes to improve our skills to record music, to purchase the copyright, and to hire other bipoc, lgbtq+ asexual, aomantic artists to collaborate on future ongoing projects.
We appreciate your continued support to amplify bipoc, lgbtq, asexual, aromantic, and HIV-positive voices.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Positively Positive Education Productions
