As we approach the end of our financial year, we are reflecting on what has been another extraordinary 12 months for Teens Unite Fighting Cancer - and on the incredible role our GlobalGiving supporters have played in making it possible.
While we are still finalising the full-year figures, we already know that this has been a year in which we have delivered more opportunities than ever before - building on what was already a record-breaking year. Last year alone, we created 1,471 opportunities for connection, activity, creativity and growth, reaching 1,040 unique primary beneficiaries and 247 secondary beneficiaries. This year, thanks to you, we have gone even further.
A year of firsts
This year will also be remembered as a year of milestones. We hosted our very first Teen and Young Adult (TYA) Festival at our new Forever Home - a powerful celebration of resilience, creativity and community. Seeing young people come together in a space that is truly theirs was a moment that captured everything our programme stands for: connection, belonging, and hope beyond diagnosis.
Across our annual programme - including Be Active, Be Empowered, Be Connected and personalised 1:1 support- young people living with and beyond cancer have been able to rebuild confidence, improve wellbeing and take meaningful steps toward their futures.
The impact you have helped make possible
Our end-of-year surveys are now complete, and the results are both humbling and inspiring.
Young people reported:
Behind each of these percentages is a young person navigating life after a cancer diagnosis - often facing isolation, anxiety, disrupted education and reduced confidence. Your generosity has helped ensure they are not facing that journey alone.
More than activities - a community for Life
Every workshop, residential stay, online session, mentoring call and festival moment represents more than attendance. It represents a young person choosing to re-engage with life after trauma. It represents friendships formed with people who truly understand. It represents confidence rebuilt step by step.
Our GlobalGiving supporters have directly enabled this work - helping us remove financial barriers, expand digital access, create safe physical spaces, and deliver consistent, ongoing support throughout the year.
Looking ahead
As we close this financial year, we are both proud and ambitious. Demand continues to grow. More young people are being referred. More families are reaching out. And we remain committed to ensuring that every young person diagnosed with cancer before the age of 25 has access to the specialist psychosocial support they deserve.
Thank you for believing in this work. Thank you for investing in young lives. And thank you for helping us make this year not only record-breaking - but life-changing.
We look forward to sharing our final confirmed figures with you soon. In the meantime, please know that your generosity is making a measurable, meaningful and deeply human difference.
