Since our last report we have been working with an external consultant to develop a new workshop which uses “lego” to teach a number of essential business skills.
74% of young people diagnosed with Cancer are worried about the impact that Cancer will have on their future employment.
The idea behind the new, fully inclusive, workshop is to help provide skills such as team working, effective listening, debating, problem solving, dispute resolution and time management, which will help provide the confidence for these young people to look forward to a future beyond illness.
The young people need to see that their chances of success have not been impacted by the time they have had to take out of work or education, and we are confident this new workshop will help. We look forward to sharing the pictures and the feedback from what we anticipate to be an exceptional day.
Your generosity helps us to support young people fighting cancer to live their best life while others search for a cure, and for that we are hugely grateful.
Thank you from everyone at Teens Unite Fighting Cancer
