Teens Unite had the incredible opportunity to attend the Crew HQ Careers Day featuring Mickey 17, hosted by Warner Brothers! This unique experience allowed us to invite five of the young people we support, giving them an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at careers in film and TV production, guided by the very crew who created the film.
The day was packed with insightful talks, hands-on workshops, and engaging sessions, culminating in a special screening of Mickey 17. For the young people who attended, this was not just a day out—it was an unforgettable, eye-opening experience that ignited new interests, rebuilt confidence, and sparked ambition. Opportunities like these play a crucial role in empowering young people after their cancer diagnosis, helping them explore potential career paths in a supportive and inspiring environment.
We are incredibly grateful to Warner Brothers for making this extraordinary opportunity possible. Their generosity in opening the doors to the film industry for the young people we support has left a lasting impact.
These experiences are made possible by the generosity of our GlobalGiving supporters. Your contributions allow us to collaborate with industry leaders, providing young people with valuable insights, skill development, and renewed confidence as they navigate life after treatment. Your support ensures that we can continue to create meaningful opportunities that help bridge educational gaps and introduce young people to careers they may never have considered before.
We’d like to share a heartwarming quote from one of the young people who attended:
“I found a new appreciation for film and the work that goes on behind it. It’s opened my eyes to the different job roles that are out there in the industry, and getting to hear from some of the top people was truly inspiring and something I won’t forget. Mickey 17 is now my top favourite film.”
With your continued support, we look forward to offering more inspiring experiences for the young people we work with. Thank you for making a difference in their lives.
