Portside Suites is becoming a reality! Fair Haven has acquired a seven-unit residential building that will provide safe, private transitional housing for survivors of sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, human trafficking and other violent crimes. Residents will have their own living space along with comprehensive advocacy, case management and wraparound services designed to support healing, stability and long-term independence.
Survivors of sexual violence, trafficking, stalking and dating violence often face significant barriers to safe, stable housing. After the immediate crisis has passed, limited affordable housing, financial barriers and the lasting impact of trauma can make rebuilding difficult. Survivors need time and space to heal. Portside suites transitional housing provides the stability needed to rebuild, regain independence and create a future free from violence.
Portside Suites will provide seven private transitional housing apartments where survivors can safely stabilize, heal and plan for their future. Residents will have the time and space needed to rebuild while receiving survivor-centered case management, advocacy, counseling, financial assistance and connections to community resources. Together, safe housing and comprehensive support create a pathway toward long-term stability and independence.
By providing individual & private housing, personalized case management, therapy & support services, we create an opportunity for residents to empower themselves by rebuilding both emotionally and physically, and create pathways to a life far beyond violence and trauma. Our safe housing model is designed with DIGNITY in mind, allowing for personal space to and will give survivors the time and services they need to achieve goals that will move them towards long-term safety and sustainability.
