These children we visited and supported in Maluku-Kinshasa eat once a day and in this the quality of food it sacrificed.
Towards the end of April 2026 the United Nations Report indicated that the Democratic Republic of Congo is rated 5th in the world among countries having a large number of Internally Displaced Persons, the report claimed that over 6 million IDPs are in DRC composed essentially with children and women. We high think this number is low and does not incorporate thousands of those who are not yet identified.
Among these we have the war victims of the Mobondo Conflict from Kwamouth Territory in Maindombe Province who are now living on their own in Maluku-Kinshasa in dire conditions. They are part of various IDPs who remain unknown and not covered by the media.
On Wednesday April 22nd, 2026 we visited them and managed to offer food items among others things like clothes and shoes. This time because of logistic challenges we distributed food directly to families and did not have time to make for them Porridge as we have done it before. A total number of 103 households received food and others received clothes.
We humbly thank people of good will who donated food items, clothes, shoes and other things which we distributed. Our next move to Maluku is on June 16th, 2026 the International Day for the African Child, where we plan to focus our activities on children on that particular day. Please be part of us, donate generously.
