Popular Literacy Campaign in Vulnerable Areas

We are happy to share a new update on the Popular Literacy Campaign and the community support that continues to make this work possible.

During these past months, we received donations of books from people and organizations outside the GlobalGiving platform. These contributions have been especially valuable for our literacy spaces, providing children with new reading materials and helping us strengthen activities that encourage reading and learning.

At the same time, the campaign has continued thanks to the commitment and dedication of our volunteer literacy educators. Their work allows children to keep attending classes, learning to read and write, and finding in these community spaces a safe environment where they can feel accompanied and supported.

Although these contributions have been an important help, financial resources are still essential to sustain the community spaces, purchase basic school supplies, and ensure that the campaign can continue reaching children who face barriers to accessing formal education.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributes in different ways to this initiative. Every book, every volunteer hour, and every donation helps us continue defending children’s right to education and creating opportunities for them to learn and grow.
