On March 26, 2018, Vets With A Mission's Executive Director made an on-site visit to Polio Project home renovations #5 & #6 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Chuck Ward was taken to the last two homes by Ms. Thao "Eden" Nguyen, VWAM's "Boots on the ground" contact. During the three hour inspection, Chuck met with the occupants of the two homes and discussed renovation progress with the contractor and observed his workers making repairs. These last two homes are now finished!

On May 3, Cedric Yumba, GlobalGiving's Southeast Asia representative, will visit three of the six homes to meet some of the occupants and see the amazing physical transformation of the homes.

The six homes are part of Vets With A Mission's Polio Project in Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon. The relationship between the polio children began back in the early 90's when VWAM visited their orphanage. Now adults, the "Children" contacted VWAM in the fall of 2016 when they could no longer keep up with repairs needed to their living quarters. Upon a visit to the first two or three homes, it was obvious they needed help. Roofs leaking and ceilings damaged, floors buckled and foundations sinking, holes in walls, bathrooms flooding, electrical wiring frayed, and the list went on and on. Anywhere from four to twelve polio victims each occupied the six homes.

Please take a look at the latest photo's of repairs at homes #5 & #6...
