By Michael Hildenbrand | Project Leader
The spring rains have arrived in NE Uganda. The villagers have been busy preparing their fields. The focus of our NGO partner in Uganda this time around has been to give the villagers seeds to plant rather than another round of food supplies. The hope is that the crops planted will provide the ongoing food sourse that they need to thrive. Several hundred acres have been plowed in preparation of the planting season.
I will be in Uganda in just three weeks and will be able to assess the situation. I will provide another report upon my return. This season is critical for these villagers after two seasons of poor or failed crops.
