Dear all,
We are so grateful to each and everyone of you that supported us during the GlobalGiving LittleXLittle campaign earlier this month. Including GlobalGiving's 50% match of any donation under $50USD, we raised $459.
For this campaign we created a new project page 'Help us Transform the Surf Industry in Mozambique', to find out more, click the link to see what we have planned for 2024.
Manu Shapes
Since the beginning of the year, Manuel has been building his very own workshop using the funds that were raised during the #GivingTuesday in November 2022. Very soon, he will be able to start hosting the young people from his community again, teaching them how to make wooden surfboards and natural surf wax.
New Project Page
Our new project mentioned above is strongly connected with 'Open a Centre for 200 young people in Mozambique'. As we continue to support Manuel by developing his skill set with different techniques of how to make other types of wooden surfboards we will strengthen our collaboration and partnership with Lwandi Surf, another nonprofit who work in Ponta do Ouro, about 8 hours south of Tofo.
Opening a centre to support the community is far more complex than it may seem. Our small team of volunteers are doing all they can do seek alternative funding to make this venture a reality.
