All planted trees maintained, the forest fire-traced which prevented the forest from forest fire in summer or dry season.
Healing our Forest
In 2020 we are taking action in further healing of our forest by replanting 27 hectares of deforested land with an estimate of 30,000 forest trees. These operations started in March with demarcation of 27 hectares of deforest land, followed by brushing operation, burning and then packing. The workers have planted maize and melon before actual trees planting so as to generate some income which will be plough back to the healing process for our forest-“Forest restoration”. Pegging operation is going and depending on the the rainfall pattern in June 2020 , planting of forestry trees will commence. We kindly appeal for more support for this healing process of our forest to continue… The workers are very happy and committed to their work in ensuring our donors get value for all they do.
