It is supposedly deep in the rainy season in Costa Rica but it is not raining. The meterorologists tell us it is an EL NINO year and to expect less rain. This time they are right! So our work is a little more difficult and weather sensitive which slows us down a little as some days are just too HOT and sunny and DRY to put tiny baby trees into the ground.
No worries though. Wee keep going. And the rains do come. and we KNOW that planting more trees near the Equator will support our global rain cycles like npthing else. And while a little slower, and so much hard work, we are moving forward and planting more than ever because our planet is burning... people and animals are suffering and there is no time like today to act now.
We have just finished chopping the high grasses from around all of the 5500 1 year old trees on 3 different planting sites during the most dry days. And when it rains, we shift gears back into planting. We prepare the swaths or "carriles" ahead of time on dry days to be ready plant plant plant on cloudy and rain days.
We are thrilled to show you how big and strong the one year old trees look after this 3rd follow up chopping since we planted last year. And of course, the oceans of cattle pastures we are preparing and planting with another 4000 trees NOW.
All of this happens because of your sponsorship and our commitment we share to join our love for our planet earth, future generations and Nature. We can bring the rainforest back to life. One tree at a time. every tree makes a difference.
THANK YOU so kindly. Please consider sharing our work with a friend or family member and asking them to join us in our collective mission!
