Integrated Agricultural Association (I.A.A) collaborated with rural women and smallholder farmers in Foumban, and initiated a project to combat climate change, poverty and malnutrition through the promotion of agroforestry. The overall goal is to achieve food security and economic resilience for over 250 people in the area. I.A.A have trained 25 trainers from 25 groups representing 375 farmers, on climate climate preparedness, mitigation and adaptation (resilience) and on how to grow vegetables dungring the dry season and prolong dryness. I.A.A also provided lessons on how to integrate vegetable crops with trees to improve nutrition and fight poverty.
Integrated Agricultural Association (I.A.A) have been able to do this work because of the individual donations made through GlobalGiving. To continue this incredible work, I.A.A welcomes donation of any amount to provide climate education and resources to farmers to fight its effects on agriculture. I.A.A have a goal of raising $25000 for this project and $241 have been raised through GlobalGiving. I.A.A will be participating on GlobalGiving July Bonus Day Campaign, high dollar contribution will be matched by GlobalGiving. From $100-$1000.
