Plant 1000 trees, restore Margarita parrot's home

You can see it in our faces; we were really happy to finally plant over 1400 native trees last April.

After months of caring for the saplings in the community nurseries, it was time to put them into the ground.

In our last report, we told you about the previous work in preparation for the planting day. The project site had already been conditioned to receive the trees, with markings and holes already in place.

Now we will continue looking after them and watering regularly to increase their chances of survival in this arid, harsh tropical landscape.

Se nos nota en la cara: nos alegramos muchísimo de poder plantar por fin más de 1400 árboles nativos el pasado mes de abril.

Tras meses cuidando las jóvenes plantas en los viveros comunitarios, había llegado el momento de trasplantarlas al suelo.
