At Pieta House, we are passionate about our life-saving work.
We want to bring our services to all who need them, when they need them, where they need them.
Currently, our 15 centres nationwide deliver over 50,000 counselling sessions every year. To be there for people who need us, we need to deliver approximately 80,000 sessions every year.
To do this we need to expand existing centres, open new ones and hire more therapy staff.
We also need to invest more in early prevention strategies. Effective prevention will, in time, reduce demand for our intervention and bereavement services.
Prevention services offer the highest quality of life improvement for service users. Work with teenagers warrants specific focus of our prevention work.
All our services are currently delivered free of charge to our clients. We treat people based on their need and not on their ability to pay. This has always been a hallmark of our service and will not change.
We will continue to offer urgent access to those most at risk. And, we will not allow waiting lists to ever grow beyond acceptable levels.
We want to provide fair access to our service across all parts of the country. We'll do this through new out-reach and in-reach services, and digital solutions.
Thank you for the support you've shown which will allow us to put in place these ambitious plans.
