By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project assisting those affected by severe drought caused by the El Nino phenomenon. Experts say that the Philippines is one of the countries that will be severely affected by climate change and we think that this is indeed very true with more than 20 typhoons hitting the country every year. The need to provide sustenance to those who are directly affected takes paramount importance. This reporting period, with our vegetables and supply of fruits, we are able to provide for the food needs of 35 poor families. Aside from the food supply we provided them with training and technical assistance especially in terms of raising their own food in their backyards. In this way they will be able to sustain and improve their situation.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
