"Small Promises. Scholarships for a Great Beginning", a transformative impact program with an operational history of more than 25 years of success, whose main objective is to provide quality education to boys and girls in vulnerable situations in the Iztapalapa Mayor's Office in Mexico City. This initiative, whose impact benefits 200 boys and girls, their families and the community environment in general.
In the community of San Juan Xalpa, Iztapalapa, economic limitations prevent many children from accessing quality preschool education. The lack of resources of their families and the impact of the pandemic have reduced attendance at the Luz Bringas School to 50%, threatening the continuity of this essential service for minors in vulnerable situations.
The "Little Promises" project will offer scholarships so that 200 children ages 3 to 6 can attend school in a safe and enriching environment, while their families receive support to strengthen support networks. This educational environment has spaces such as a garden, farm and psychomotor classroom, stimulating the comprehensive development of children.
This project will lay the foundations for a better future, reducing social exclusion and promoting community development, while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for education and poverty reduction.
