The plans to have climate sensitization meetings and demonstration of climate smart equipment were not executed as planned due to inadequate funds raised by February 2022. Despite this setback, the team was able to develop a community sensitization module on climate change focussing on community approaches to cope with climate change, as well as how they can contribute to on-going government efforts to mitigate climate change. The module was a product of three volunteers who had been workin g on the module for a few weeks.
In March 2022, we procured one supersaver (charcoal) and four fuelwood powered energy saving cookstoves. The equipment will be introduced during the community sensitization meetings on climate change and distributed to a few community members for use. We plan to have at least two sensitization meetings in the month of April 2022.
The team are excited about the module and the equipment for demonstration, and are looking forward to meeting the community.
We will appreciate any support towards this project
