Iranian Fatima…She was forced to marry a 12-year older-man by her elder brother, she had exposed to violence after the marriage by both her husband and her father-in-law, however, she could share her experiences with no one. Besides, she had a son from this marriage and unfortunately, her son was exposed to violence from his father likewise his mother. She couldn’t send her son to school as the father force him to work. The beneficiary told that one of her friends was in the USA and called her to go there, she had tried to escape with her son, however, they had been caught by her husband and they were subjected to violence again by her husband. After having experienced horrid moments in her marriage, she decided to take refuge in Türkiye with her son. They could enter Türkiye by paying smugglers. She said that they had spent nearly 4 days in a park in Türkiye and she hadn’t had any familiar person in Türkiye. After such a traumatic life, she suffer from health problems, there was a disturbance in the nervous system and she had surgery on her right hand, her hand started to tremble from time to time so she could not use her hand during the tremo. She would like to live in Türkiye which is a secure place with her son by acquiring identity.
Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants(ASAM) reached Fatima through mobile teams. Primarily, she was provided with information regarding ASAM’s services, the consultancy was given about emergency health services and accessing her rights. She was referred firstly Presidency of Migration Management and she has access to registration with the support of ASAM’s field offices. In order to find a solution to the housing problem, she and her son were temporarily placed in government accommodation centers. Fatima and her son have recently left there, and she has started to work as a cleaner in a hotel and rented a house. She says that she was very happy and felt safe in Türkiye.
