New fellow Ashley Johnson traveled to Cyprus to educated children on the importance on being a good member of the community, and being a holistic individual as well as a basketball player.

Area Based Activity team hold an event at local primary school in Umlazi, teaching them life skills and connecting the lessons to basketball. The theme of the day was "My Life, My Game, My Success".

With support from Adidas, Peace Players International assisted with the "Hoops in the Hood" cross-city tournament in Chicago. The organization hopes to aid in positive childhood development and reclaim public space from fear and violence.

PPI-Northern Ireland experienced enormous success bringing together youths from both sides of the conflict to participate with one another in learning Ireland's most popular national sports.
Champions in the Making: The Jerusalem All-Stars Head South
The girls from the groundbreaking team of mixed Israeli and Palestinian background traveled to Kibbutz Ketura at the southern tip of Israel. The interaction between the girls was so natural, so normal, that you would never guess that they came from two sides of a strained and violent divide.
