Peace School for 1000 Ukrainian youth

The second part of VIII Congress of Junior Ambassadors of Peace «The whole world is for peace»!

The second part of the VIII Congress of Junior Ambassadors of Peace, "The whole world is for peace!" On September 28, 2021, the second part of the VIII Congress of Junior Ambassadors of Peace "The whole world is for peace!" dedicated to the International Day of Peace on the theme: "Recovering better for a sustainable and equitable world". The second part of the Congress took place online as a "Discussion Platform". The meeting was attended by public figures, educators, peace ambassadors, teachers, and students from different regions of Ukraine. There were a total of 200 participants. The meeting was organized by Mykhailo I., Chairman of the Unification Peace Federation in Ukraine, and Tetyana F., Director of Specialized School #85 in Kyiv. The meeting was held on three platforms: "Challenges of the XXI century", "Leaders of the XXI century", "Service for peace". 

The moderators of the first and second platforms were young leaders - members of the public organization "Federation of Youth for Peace" Oleksander R. and Vladyslav K. The main feature of these platforms was that children from different schools were free to express their opinions on given topics. They talked about the main problems that exist in our society and around the world. Everyone had the opportunity to take a test to determine leadership qualities. The children showed that they already know who a leader is and what qualities he should develop. 

The moderator of the third platform was Halyna K., Head of the Department of the Institute of Modernization of the Content of Education, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Ambassador of Peace. A map of peacekeeping was presented, where everyone could see what the Peace School has been doing since its inception and what it plans to do in the future. All these topics will be the basis for the Peace School classes this school year. 

At the Congress, everyone could also hear video greetings from Dr. Kittel - General Secretary of UPF Asia, Vasyl K. — President of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Ambassador of Peace, Tetyana I. — Chairman of the Ukrainian-Cypriot Friendship, Olga M. — Ambassador of Peace. Tetyana K., President of the Women's Federation for World Peace in Ukraine, and Yonin N., Youth Ambassador of Peace, Japan, were able to join the meeting online. They congratulated everyone on the Day of Peace and spoke about the importance of the efforts of junior ambassadors of peace in building peace.
