The Peace Education for 200 Students in Zamfara project has made significant preparatory progress despite funding challenges. The project seeks to raise a total of $10,000 to implement peacebuilding activities, trauma-healing workshops, and student-led Peace Clubs across participating schools. As of this reporting period, the project has not yet received financial contributions, leaving the full funding target of $10,000 outstanding.
Fundraising efforts are ongoing to secure the resources required for successful implementation. Once funding is received, project activities will commence, including the procurement of training materials, engagement of facilitators, establishment of Peace Clubs, and provision of psychosocial support services for participating students.
The financial gap remains the primary challenge affecting project rollout. However, stakeholder engagement and donor outreach activities continue to generate awareness about the urgent need to equip vulnerable students with conflict resolution skills and resilience-building support. Achieving the fundraising target will enable the project to directly impact 200 at-risk students and contribute to long-term peacebuilding and community stability in Zamfara State.
