Support HIV/AIDS Treatment for Kids in China

Dear PATS supporters,

It’s only a few weeks until Mother’s Day! We wanted you guys to know about great fundraising drive GlobalGiving is funding for Mother's Day.  From now until May 12th, every donation made as a gift on the PATS GlobalGiving project page will be matched by GlobalGiving with an additional $5 donation. Donate to PATS as a gift/in honor of someone else by selecting the third giving option, “gift or in honor of,” under the orange donate button on the project page. GlobalGiving will send the gift recipient an email, snail mail, or print-at-home card.

GlobalGiving will be awarding $1,000 to the project with the most money raised and $1,000 to the project with the most tribute card donors. Help us get the $1,000 bonus for largest number of tribute card donors! Even $5 will help- that means at least $10 for PATS and helps us on our way to an additional $1,000.  That is enough to fund all of the needs for one child for one year.

On another note, we have some sad news to share. PATS Advisor Wang Liyao (also known as Wang Laoshi) passed away at the beginning of March after a brave, year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He left the world peacefully with his family at his side in Hangzhou, China. He cared so much for the PATS children and we will miss him dearly.

His son Jason said, "I'd like to take this chance to thank you all, people in PATS and Boston and the others for the kind concern and support given to my dad. His heart, mind and love are always with you even in his last days."

Here he is last May with Board Member Jialan.  The PATS volunteers will be holding a memorial for him in Boston early next month and will plant a tree in his memory.
